The latest crackdown comes amid growing fears in China over the addictive nature of video games. In June, Tencent found itself at the center of a lawsuit that accused it of including "inappropriate" content in Honor of Kings, including characters with low-cut clothes and historical inaccuracies. But, its success has also brought with it increased scrutiny. Timi Studios, the Tencent-owned developer thats worked on games like Call of Duty: Mobile and Honor of Kings, has opened a new studio in Washington to create. Most recently though, Timi Studios’ Call of Duty. As of November, the mobile title boasted 100 million players. The studio is behind mobile titles such as Honor of Kings and Arena of Valor, and both titles have generated huge amounts of revenue for Tencent.
